"Yes, please call the fucking cops", while the woman safe in a car doesn't drive away and engages the guy

The joys of living in Old Town. In addition to paying rent at San Francisco prices, being yelled at by drunks and tweekers who decide to use homes and apartments as their trash dumpster and middle of night screaming. A relatively peaceful Arts Night turned into me having to call the police on a couple, I will call Dumb and Dumber.

I hear arguing, a few female voices and one male voice and think, it's the neighbors across the street again. They will shut up in a few, I hope.

The yelling goes on for half an hour. I open my front door to see a white Cadillac trying to pull out of the driveway but parked. The woman is yelling at a young guy, who could be a college student. He yells back, "Rosie, why don't you fucking open the window and talk to me?" Getting no response, he goes on, "You will never see me again, just talk to me."

Why has no one with several houses around called EPD yet, I have no idea. The guy steps aside, the woman instead of driving away engages him further. I yell, "You both need to shut up or I am calling the police."

The woman yells, "Yes, please call the fucking cops." I tell her, "I will. Or you could just drive away."

They proceed to argue . I call EPD, just as I am done, the woman swerves onto the street and drives off. He is still standing there. I tell EPD not to bother but the nice dispatcher still says she is going to broadcast the information.

So, in addition to drinking and making bad choices in relationships, Dumb and Dumber will now have EPD check out a situation that could be avoided instead of them answering real calls. The woman could have used her cell phone.

I could have ignored the situation but what if she was in danger? Taking away her car  and ability to party for a while might sober her up to think how lucky she got tonight.

Better yet, both should be booked and put in a sober cell and fined for disturbing the peace. The proceeds from the fines should be donated to an animal shelter or to house someone homeless .
