Guilty on all counts, justice for Bang

Jury verdict came in just before lunch... I will update this tomorrow with dates and a few more details.

The jury found William Nelson guilty of attempted homicide of a peace officer with use of a firearm.
They did not find Nelson guilty of premeditated attempted murder. This time Nelson didn't jump up and cause an outburst in court. Sentencing is in mid-January.

Kudos to ADA Kelly Neel on a great job.

  1. Premeditated Murder?

I guess this is a point of law I'm not familiar with... but don't you have to actually kill someone for that?

Thankfully Deputy Bang survived the shooting.

I'm not trying to snark... I just don't understand the charge.

    1. MOLA, in an attempt to scoop and get the verdict out, I typed fast.It should have read the jury did not agree that the attempted murder was premeditated.

Didn't proofread my post because the jury verdict came in ten minutes before noon and instead of lunch I ate a word. Irony is there was no one to scoop so I could have relaxed a bit.

I didn't take your comment snark. Thanks as always for your comment.
