Will California environmentalists kill the bid for these living wage jobs?

http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2014/09/01/tesla-motors-dealing-as-states-play-factory-poker/?intcmp=HPBucket

If California was chosen to build this factory, these would be good, living wage, blue and white collar jobs. The title of this post is to see if California progressives and environmentalists will stand in the way for working class Californians who need jobs.

Ideology does not put food on the table or pay rent or health insurance.

  1. Which environmental regulations is Teala requesting to be exempt from in order to locate the factory in the state?

  2. Geoff, as the article states the media is not being given details. Feel free to contact the Governor's office of Economic Development to see if they will answer you about what regulations they are willing to exempt.

    1. Thanks, thought it might had been previously published somewhere else. Seems difficult to form an opinion without the knowing the details?

    2. Geoff, if it was published somewhere you could find it as easily as me.

Thanks as always for your comments.

    3. I guess I'm surprised with your headline which appears to call out environmentalists without first knowing all the facts yourself

    4. Geoff, I am not going to get into an online pissing contest with you. I have published your comments. I have responded to you more than once. The facts are there. I have explained the lack of transparency by the company and media.

You have not answered specifically the question asked in the headline or bothered to call or do research on your own.

I moderate comments for a reason. And, I do this unpaid, on my time. So if your future comments are not relevant and just an effort to bait me, you will be disappointed.

There are plenty of other venues where you can practice your venting. This blog is not one of them.

    5. Governor Brown stated in the debate last night that Tesla wanted a massive cash up-front payment

    6. And they wanted tax breaks which they got from Nevada.

Tesla is one company. It does not change the fact that California needs jobs, it needs to be more business friendly. Regulations are good, over regulation is not but Tesla did show it's true colors.
