There is a gag order in the case. The courtroom has been closed all morning. Attorneys for both sides have been in the courtroom. Defense investigator Katherine Truitt went in twice, so did DA investigator Tom Cooke.
From the hallway, I observed inmate Melvin Matthews being led in the courtroom briefly and leaving. Matthews is in contempt for refusing to testify and he was one of the leads police originally pursued. Mr. Celli who works with Russ Clanton, who represented Rhett August was in the courtroom talking with defense.
11:13 only a couple of us left in the hallway. We have no idea what is going on?
